Central European network service provider offers Internet access and related IP services to large universities and research facilities. Their challenges are they need to migrate existing DDoS mitigation services from Cisco Guard to the Peakflow SP TMS. They chose Arbor Networks to overcome these challenges. They implemented Arbor Peakflow SP and Peakflow SP TMS 3100 out-of-band appliance that doesn't do any active routing, the Network Service Provider (NSP) had to implement a separate routing instance to segregate the production Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) forwarding routing tables from the individual scrubbing routing tables. The results of implementing the Arbor Networks were effective protection of a 10 Gbps network from 10 Gbps DDoS attacks; less time to stop DDoS attacks due to a single, simpler user interface.
