Located in the heart of Albuquerque, New Mexico, the main campus of University of New Mexico has served as the state's flagship educational institution since its 1889 founding. Their challenges are slow and inconsistent delivery of IT infrastructure services, lack of automated processes and insufficient resources to manage IT infrastructure at departmental level. They chose VMware to overcome these challenges. They implemented VMware vRealize automation to deliver Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS). The results of implementing the VMware were enabled departments to adopt new technology quickly by leveraging IaaS, it reduced IT costs by using virtualized machines and delivering IT IaaS and increased efficiency by centralizing IT infrastructure management.
