University Switches to Hybrid Cloud Model to Improve Services and Reduce Costs

Royal Holloway, University of London, saw the need to change how it provided IT to users in order to deliver the same experience and choice as consumer websites. By moving to a hybrid cloud architecture based on Microsoft technologies, it has been able to automate the provisioning and delivery of services, improving the user experience while saving ÂŁ50,000 (US$85,000) per year and reducing the time that IT staff spent on routine activities by 20 percent.
