Valdosta State University has a strong commitment to technology enhanced learning to promote student success and instructional excellence. Their challenges are they need to meet the growing need for on-campus wireless LAN capacity and coverage for today's students, and provide networking for a new health sciences building. They chose Juniper Networks to overcome these challenges. They implemented WLA532 wireless LAN access point, WLC2800 wireless LAN controller, SmartPass connect, EX4500 and EX3300 Ethernet switches, unified access control, SRX240 security gateways, MX10 and MX5 3D universal edge routers, Junos space network director. The results of implementing the Juniper Networks were improved Wi-Fi performance while simplifying use, 10GbE network for new health sciences building and Simplified network operations with consistent platform for switching, routing, and security.
