You have a business where you need to build out applications for everything from external services to data collection. In short, you need all the tech details that will help you optimize your online presence and internal operations.
A platform developer, someone intimately familiar with specific operating systems and hardware components, works on a company’s core platform to create and optimize all the various functions needed to establish a strong computer infrastructure.
Platform developer jobs remain some of the hottest on the market. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, overall developer jobs are expected to grow between 23 and 25 percent from 2021 to 2031.
From the job description:
The platform developer will work on a company’s platform to help develop services and applications that will run smoothly on that platform.
The developer may be called upon to integrate social media platforms, create analytics applications and other external services.
They will have the ability to work on both front- and back-end systems in order to ensure a smooth integration of new applications.
The platform developer may interact with senior management through progress reports and presentations, so strong communications skills will be needed.
The developer also will troubleshoot and identify problems and weaknesses and work to address them.
Strong knowledge of a variety of computer languages will be needed in order to effectively function as a platform developer.
