Does your company need a quality assurance engineer? This is the person who will ensure the product your team is creating will meet the specifications you need for optimal performance and scalability. A quality assurance engineer, also known as a quality control engineer, does exactly what the title implies. The engineer verifies the development of software based upon specifications, keeping senior management aware of progress and keeping initiatives on deadline. They will document any defects or weaknesses and track their resolution. To do this, the engineer must have a strong understanding of code writing, configuration, integration software and other skills needed by developers to create products. Skills with Agile software development, COBOL and DB2 are all needed, along with an ability to develop and run test cases.
