Remote Device Management and Wiping Policy
The purpose of this policy from TechRepublic Premium is to establish guidelines for the remote management and wiping of personal devices used in a bring your own device program. This policy aims to ensure the protection of sensitive company data in the event of security breaches, device loss, theft or termination of employment or contract.
From the policy:
Operating system updates: In order to maintain a resilient security posture, enrolled devices must consistently undergo updates to their operating systems. This ensures the integration of the latest security patches and enhancements. The IT department should provide a time frame for the release and installation of necessary security updates so that employees will be aware. Employees are expected to promptly apply these updates to mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
