Wearable computing isn’t a new idea, but the technology has struggled to move beyond a few niche markets due to hardware and connectivity limitations. In recent years, advances in processing power, sensor capability, communication links, display quality, and battery life have opened the doors of possibility for wearable devices, also known simply as “wearables.”
