Apache Kafka® and the Data Mesh

Data mesh is a new approach for designing data architectures by embracing organisational and data-centric constructs. The idea is that data should be easily accessible and interconnected across the entire business. This solves several common problems such as issues seen with data pipelines, which often become brittle and problematic over time by creating their own webs and messy point-to-point kind of systems. It also addresses more significant organisational issues, such as different departments in a company disagreeing on core facts.
