The term Big Data has been stealing the limelight for quite some time now. This ecosystem is evolving and the data around the world is growing exponentially. Forrester, a research and analysis company, projects that the quantum of data under management will increase from 4.4 ZB to 44 ZB, worldwide. Such huge quantities of data call for newer methods to capture, extract, analyze, and store all of it. We are well aware of ‘Data Warehouses’ and they have been around for decades. A relatively new approach of handling data is ‘Data Lakes.’
