SaaS Research 2017: Adoption rates, business benefits, and preferred providers
Software as a service offers many advantages over traditional software delivery models, and is expected to become the default solution for businesses. When TechRepublic Premium last looked at SaaS, in 2013, it was in fast growth mode, but that has flattened out a bit. In this report, we take a look at some of the reasons behind that. This report also examines what specific cloud services businesses are using. Email, by far, is still the most popular SaaS solution, but many other categories are growing, including office suite, anti-malware software, and integration of web services with in-house applications. Other important points in this report include why companies choose to go the SaaS route, how satisfied they are after they’ve made the switch, and what matters to them when choosing vendors.
