While moving native operations and custom applications to the cloud offers benefits such as ease of sharing resources and better cost control, enterprises are understandably skittish about transferring operations, and data to the cloud. Realistic, or not, there is a sense of comfort with on premise storage and backup that the cloud – whether public, private or hybrid – still is challenged to match.
