A Consolidated Analysis of MANET Routing Protocols

A Mobile Ad-hoc NETwork (MANET) is an infrastructure-less network, in which nodes communicate with each other without any central administration. Nodes in an ad-hoc network behave simultaneously as host as well as router agreeing to forward data traffic for other nodes. A routing protocol is needed to establish routes for data transmission. Many routing protocols have been proposed and are being studied as a topic of active research. A significant amount of work has already been done on the performance evaluation of these routing protocols.
