The strength of relationship between two nodes greatly influences the stability of the link and in turn affects the overall communication of the underlying network. Mobile Ad-hoc networks are prone to constant link failures due to node mobility and hence the stability of routes cannot be assured in such situations. In recent years, many approaches and techniques which use shortest path for routing might choose an intermediate link with non-cooperative node rejecting to transmit relay traffic. These attempts lead to selection of unstable routes which highly degrade the network performance. The objective of this paper is to propose an algorithm to identify stable route in a MANET using the potential communication capability and cooperative behavior between successive pair of nodes.
