A Framework for Providing Selective Permissions to Android Applications

The core Android operating system is based on the Linux kernel. Android applications is most often written in Java programming language and run in the Dalvik virtual machine. The latest version of Android 4.2 doesn't provide selective permissions for apps while they are being downloaded. This doesn't provide flexibility to the user to restrict the usage of their resources by the app. This paper proposes a framework for providing selective permissions in Android operating system.
