Encryption is the process of transforming information (plaintext) using an algorithm (called cipher) to make it unreadable to anyone except those possessing special knowledge, usually referred to as a key. A stream cipher is a fast symmetric key algorithm which is used to convert plaintext to ciphertext. Encryption of images can be done in both spatial and transform domain. A partial image encryption scheme based on DWT and chaotic stream ciphers already exists. Here, a full image encryption scheme based on DWT and stream ciphers is proposed.
