The growing demand for higher performance with limited energy dissipation evokes the need for an optimal use of system resources. In search of the best performance/power ratio, and considering that a static system is not able to optimally perform the various applications required by the user, runtime reconfigurability has become an avenue of research. One can find proposals for adapting dynamically processors, memories and their interconnections in order to provide a more suitable configuration for the system. However, there is no available study on the simultaneous reconfiguration for all these components in a system.
