Biometric-based authentication in distributed networking environment is being accepted by users due to the intrinsic properties of biometric. It is difficult to make a copy of others' biometric and unnecessary to memorize the biometric features. Moreover, the biometric will not be lost or forgotten. Compared with the password-based identity authentication method, the biometric-based authentication method can verify the user's physical identity (who the user is?). This advantage can meet the demand for higher level of security applications. However, the intra-dissimilarity caused by all kinds of noise among different instances of the same biometric make some legitimate users being falsely rejected.
