Whereas many Java applications can use the Java Native Interface to bind to (c-based) multi-precision programs on a host platform when a higher precision than the 64-bit standard is needed, others may observe that there is only rudimentary support on the native platform if standard mathematical functions are needed. This paper is to provide a base implementation of the core trigonometric and algebraic functions on top of the native BigDecimal class with infinite precision capability.
