This paper proposes an LDPC decoder of Forward Error Correction (FEC), for Chinese digital TV, based on Single scan min sum decoder algorithm. The LDPC FEC encoding for Chinese DTV broadcasting includes three kinds of code rates with a code word block size of 7493. The simulated LDPC decoder for Chinese Digital TV standard using Single scan min sum algorithm, run for one iteration showed memory usage reduced by 7.5 kilobytes as compared with classical min sum algorithm.
