With the rapid growth of internet technology, remote users want to acquire network resources of multi-server environment more securely and conveniently. In 2012, the researcher proposed an improved dynamic identity based authentication scheme for multi-server architecture to remedy the security flaws of Sood et al.'s scheme (2011). However, the authors find that Li et al.'s scheme is still susceptible to impersonation attack and server spoofing attack. In this paper, they will discuss the weaknesses of Li et al.'s scheme and present a modification. The security analysis proves that their improved scheme is more secure.
