The authors are moving towards an era where location information will be necessary for access control. The use of location information can be used for enhancing the security of an application. Geo-encryption is the use of Position naVigation and Time (PVT) information as means to enhance the security of a traditional cryptographic system. Geo-encryption builds on established cryptographic algorithms and protocols in a way that provide an additional layer of security beyond that provided by conventional cryptography.
