A Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a wireless network having distributed self-organized autonomous devices employing sensors to monitor environmental conditions like temperature, humidity, pressure, movement, etc. Dense deployment of disposable and low-cost sensor nodes makes WSN concept beneficial for battle-fields. Tiny sizes and light weight structure of these (WSN) nodes provides many functionality in health applications like drug administration, tracking and monitoring doctors and patients as well as commercial applications like home automation for smart home environments, detecting and monitoring burglary, vehicle tracking and detection etc. WSN is a means to bridge a gap between the physical and the virtual world.
