Virtual maintenance has emerged as one such technology which has attained maturity and gained acceptance in industry. The key contribution of virtual maintenance is to reduce the design cost and cycle. Currently, virtual maintenance verification focuses on these statically qualitative contents and there is a big gap between virtual maintenance simulation time and actual maintenance time. This paper divides those causes for the gap into three parts, including integrity, determinacy and verisimilitude. A new virtual maintenance time measurement based on DELMIA has been raised aiming at reducing the effects of the verisimilitude causes.
