Secure user authentication is an important issue in wireless environments. Various user authentication schemes have been proposed in recent years. In 2012, the authors presented an enhanced secure anonymous authentication scheme for roaming service in global mobility networks. However, Mun et al.'s scheme is not secure. In this paper, the authors show that Mun et al.'s scheme cannot provide the mutual authentication between MU and FA, and it also cannot resist the insider attack by HA and MU, and the MU's forgery attack.
