The international technology roadmap of semiconductors suggests that Quantum-dot Cellular Automata (QCA) technology might be possible CMOS substitute. MQCA are attractive due to their compactness and extremely small power dissipation. This led to focus on Nano-Magnetic Logic (NML). The nature of these circuits is much different from that of CMOS circuits. In this paper, the authors studied a VHDL behavioral model for NML circuits, which allows the evaluation of not only the logic behavior but also its power dissipation.
