In this paper, the authors propose a reversible design of squarer circuit which has application in arithmetic unit of reversible digital signal processors and reversible ALUs. A multiplier circuit with two equal inputs can be used as a squarer circuit but this is not very efficient and increases the delay and power dissipation. So using a dedicated squarer circuit is actually necessary. Compared to the existing multiplier circuits which can be used as the reversible squarer, their proposed design of reversible squarer is efficient in terms of quantum cost, gate number, computation stages, constant inputs and garbage outputs.
