An ad-hoc network is a network which does not rely on any preexisting infrastructure. It is a network that is created to serve only a particular purpose. Wireless ad-hoc networks consist of nodes that are interconnected and transmit data wirelessly. This paper discusses about an application of wireless ad-hoc networks to build a system of rovers. The primary use of these rovers shall be to provide a means to survey areas where human intervention may not be possible at the time. Such areas include disaster struck buildings, enemy occupied buildings, possible radioactive areas, etc.
