In this paper, the authors constructed the architecture of mobile heterogeneous sensor network by introducing User Equipment's (UEs) in static wireless sensor network. They analyzed the failure of traditional static clustering algorithm, gave a set of parameters that affected the performance of cluster heads in the mobile environment and proposed a Quasi-Static Clustering Algorithm (QSCA). Through theoretical analysis and simulation, this algorithm can reduce average delay and prolong network lifetime. They verified the adaptability of QSCA algorithm to energy consumption and dynamic topology by comparing with the Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) algorithm.
