The technology scaling has brought the importance of on-chip communication in system-on-chip applications. The performance of network on-chip greatly depends on the router, basic block of NOC. The performance of the network depends on latency and throughput. Virtual channel router is used most widely where virtual channels are engaged to avoid deadlock or head of line blocking, while in wormhole router, contention will increase the latency. In this paper, the proposed router avoids the need for such virtual channels by improving the flexibility and fault tolerance of the router.
