There occur many challenges in design of algorithms in wireless sensor networks. This paper aims in minimizing energy dissipation and dead nodes occurred during the communication in WSN. Analysis is based on CBCR (Clique Based Clustering and Routing) and LEACH (Low-Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy), the earlier existed paper in the direction of energy dissipation of wireless sensor network. Genetic algorithm is applied to improvise the existing technique making efficient use of energy and selection of cluster head for communication. This paper finds a great deal of understanding how the energy dissipation can be reduced over the WSN thus increasing the network lifetime.
