The demand of compact size antennas is increasing day-by-day because of the rapid growth of portable devices and wireless communication technology. In this paper, the authors provide overview of recent developments in the rapidly growing fields of fractal antenna engineering. Here Sierpinski fractal antenna has been proposed and presented. Traditionally each antenna operates at a single or dual frequency bands where different antenna is needed for different applications. Low cost of fabrication and low profile features of microstrip antenna attract many researchers to investigate the performance of this antenna in various ways.
