Multi-hop wireless networks refer to wireless networks where the packets of a node are relayed by multiple intermediate nodes to the destination node with the node's collaboration enabling the communication between distant nodes in the network. Thus nodes cooperation is considered as an important factor for the performance of multi-hop wireless networks. But the nodes in such a network are autonomous and self-interested that they are not ready to spend their resources for forwarding the packets of other nodes and such a criterion degrades the network performance.
