Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is an emerging field of technology, comprising of spatially distributed, autonomous tiny sensing devices named nodes. Presently, Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) are not only limited to military applications such as battlefield surveillance but are also used in many industrial and civilian application areas, including industrial process monitoring and control, machine health monitoring, environment and habitat monitoring, healthcare applications, home automation and traffic control. Nodes are deployed independently to cooperatively monitor physical or environmental conditions, such as temperature, sound, vibration, pressure, motion or pollutants parameters.
