A Secured Architectural Model to Prevent DOS Attacks in Web-Based Embedded Applications

The main objective of the paper is to discuss the security issues in web based embedded systems and to develop the secured architectural model for a web based embedded application. As the result of recent advancement of high-speed networking and the single processor-computing environment has given the way to implement the embedded application in distributed environment through the Internet. There are a number of security architectures which prevent attacks in general purpose desktop systems, but hardly a handful of architectures which prevents web attacks in embedded systems. Unfortunately, many solutions developed for securing general IT systems, such as computer networks or databases, are not applicable or not sufficient for embedded security.
