The academicians are always worried to know the factors that govern the development of the job satisfaction among the workers in the industrial set up. The construction (development) of software is different from the products of other manufacturing system. Software development is an inherently human endeavor. They view job satisfaction as emerging from a variety of factors, including characteristics of the organizational environment, specific features of the job, human resource practices and the personal characteristics of the employee. Job satisfaction has been widely studied. Researchers have noted that job satisfaction is directly related to employee turnover/retention rates and absenteeism and indirectly to job performance and productivity.
