A Survey on Neighbor Discovery in Asynchronous Wireless Sensor Networks
The Neighbor Discovery is a process of identifying the nearest node. So the identification can done through Neighbor Discovery Protocol (NDP) is a protocol in the Internet Protocol Suite used with IPv6. It is responsible for address auto-configuration of nodes, discovery of other nodes on the link, and maintaining reach-ability information about the paths to other active neighbor nodes. Node connectivity is subject to changes because of mobility in wireless communication, transmission power changes, or loss of synchronization between neighboring nodes.
