The signature verification means the verification process in which a given identity is examined and is either rejected as forgery or accepted as genuine. Signature is a behavioral biometric based on ones behavior which includes handwriting, voice. It is not based on the physical properties, such as fingerprint or face, of the individual. Biometric technologies are becoming the foundation of highly secure identification and personal verification solutions. Signature verification is an important research topic in the area of biometric authentication.
