Soft biometrics have gained more and more interest of the biometry and other communities for various reasons like the need for higher reliability in biometric systems and the great number of advantages coming along with the integration of soft biometrics in the systems. Many existing biometric systems collect ancillary information like gender, age, height, and eye color from the users during enrollment. However, only the primary biometric identifier (fingerprint, face, hand-geometry, etc.) is used for recognition and the ancillary information is rarely utilized.
