Now-a-days most mobile users have devices capable of finding their locations. Location based application require the user to provide location proofs at a particular time in use. There are some cases were users may cheat on their locations. So the authors need a secure technique to provide locations to applications. In this paper- 'APPLAUS', the technology used for communication is Bluetooth. Due to all limitations in Bluetooth, here they propose 'A third generation privacy preserving location proof updating system' where individual users evaluate their location privacy levels and decide whether to accept or reject the location proof requests.
