Microstrip patch antennas are becoming popular for their use in wireless applications due to their low profile structure, versatile nature, flexibility, robustness and many other advantages as compared to conventional antennas. In this paper, a rectangular microstrip patch antenna using microstrip feeding technique has been discussed and the results are simulated using CST MWS 2010. The results are analyzed in terms of return loss, bandwidth, gain, directivity and current distribution. Tri-band has been achieved in this design. The first band has resonant frequency 5.5 GHz and bandwidth is 66 MHz with return loss -12.95.
