With increasing flows of containerized traffic and growing emphasis on (national) security, businesses and government are struggling to find efficient and effective means to ensure full supply chain control and security. In order to realize reliable and secure global trade, government agencies and businesses have to cooperate. Businesses are already investing in three ways to realize this goal: acquiring the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status to prove that a business is compliant and trustworthy, the optimization of logistics and terminal operations by means of synchro-modality, and the realization of sustainable supply chains by means of traceability and visibility.
