A WLS-PSO Localization Algorithm Based TH-PPM-UWB System in IEEE.802.15.3a Channel
To precisely locate the target, this paper proposes a novel approach based enhanced TOA estimation and Weight Least Squares-Particle Swarm Optimization (WLS-PSO) localization method in Pulse Position Modulation Time Hopping UWB (TH-PPM-UWB) system. A linear stepping and serial-parallel combination based on pilot-assisted detection approach is to reduce the acquisition time of UWB signal, allowing accurate time measurement. For increasing the convergence rate of PSO algorithm, WLS algorithm is used to estimate the initial estimation of position. Each particle's movement is influenced by its local best known position is also guided toward the best known positions in the search-space, which are updated as better positions are found by other particles.
