ACCCM: Adaptive and Co-Operative Cache Consistency Mechanism for Mobile Environment

In mobile computing, caching plays a vital role owing to its ability to alleviate the performance and availability limitations of weakly-connected and disconnected operations. Caching the database data in MANET will enable the server to be aware of the cache distribution in the MANET, making the data items consistent with their version at the server and adapting the cache update process to the data rate at the server relative to the request rate by the clients. This method implements the concept of cache replication, in-order to avoid the increase in the traffic of the network due to the high request rate for the particular data which leads to more number of hits in a particular Query Directory(QD) & Cache Node (CN) for that data.
