International Standards for OFDM have been specified by IEEE 802.11, IEEE 802.16, IEEE 802.20, European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) and Broadcast Radio Access Network (BRAN) committees. Digital multimedia applications create an ever increasing demand for broadband communication systems. The technical requirements for related products are very high, but it is desired that the solutions must be cheap to implement, feasible or lead to sub optimal results. Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a method that allows transmitting high data rates over extremely hostile channels at a comparatively low complexity than the traditional single carrier techniques.
