Adaptive filtering constitutes an important class of DSP algorithms employed in several hand held mobile devices for applications such as echo cancellation, signal denoising, and channel equalization. The throughput of the proposed design is increased by parallel Look-Up Table (LUT) update. The 16:1 MUltipleXer (MUX) is replace by an 8:1 and 2:1 MUX. The conventional adder-based shift accumulation for DA-based inner-product computation is replaced by conditional signed carry-save accumulation in order to reduce the area complexity; the power consumption of the proposed design is reduced by using a fast bit clock for all operations.
