In recent years, cloud computing have been widely used and changed the traditional computing model. Most cloud computing platforms use system level virtualization techniques for resources management, which promoted system utilization, and reduced deployment time, supplying on demand, etc. Cloud computing has changed the traditional computing model. With integrating a large number of virtual machines, cloud computing has a great computing capacity. In this paper, a combination of virtualization technology checkpoint recovery framework is proposed to enhance system availability for traditional distributed computing applications running in cloud environments. The framework realized in a transparent manner to the applications and their running operating system, with small overhead.
