Devices existing within a wireless sensor system are small in size and their battery capacities are very limited. In addition, diverse channel environments may be configured for them. To overcome various constraints and efficiently utilize the energy of sensor nodes, Transmission Power Control (TPC) technology may be employed. This paper describes the authors' attempt to resolve problems with existing TPC algorithms, reduce the number of unnecessary changes in Transmission Power Level (TPL) using the slope value of linear regressed equation, and present an algorithm for deriving TPL in a fast and appropriate manner.
