One of the most important applications of wireless sensor networks is data collection. In Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), users may want to continuously extract data from the networks. But energy efficient data collection and aggregation in wireless sensor network is always a challenging issue. The network topology and interferences also causes significant effects on data collection and aggregation. In this paper, the authors propose to use multifrequency in channel assignment because scheduling a transmission using multiple numbers of frequencies is more efficient when compared with single frequency.
