Since publish/subscribe systems have the advantages of loose coupling, anonymity, many-to-many communication and scalability, they have gotten broad attention and deep research. As the number of participants in the network increases, security becomes an increasing concern. In this paper, the authors proposed an encryption mechanism based on redundant attributes. The mechanism supports finding out the links with the problem of wire-sniffing when the sensitive data is acquired by unauthorized users. The approach is to apply redundant attributes to event encryption.
